Dark side for sure, keep in mind this is a Tim Burton film, and he's a little different. We watched this with our 8 year old and she had nightmares for 2 nights in a row . It is very freaky and not what we expected to be the outcome. Not recommended for children, you decide what your child should watch. Our teenager enjoyed the animation and appreciated the computer work and technical parts to the movie. So just be cautious.

This movie, although it's a children's movie, was quite freaky. My heart raced throughout the movie. Definitely interesting.

my son got this for his 10th birthday. Hes a huge Tim Burton fan. It didnt even scare my 5 year old. she was yelling at the other mother to let Coraline go lol...

this was one of the best kids movie i have seen in a while.love it totally i watched it like 5 times already..might be a lil scary for kids under maybe 5 but great movie great animation.totally worth the money..

i Just fell In love With This Movie, So much fun to watch. I love stop animation, Tim Burton who Directed Nightmare before Christmas,helped with This movie and If you ever get a chance watch a Tim burton Movie I love them All. Coraline. had a wonderful soundtrack. Yes it can be a little creepy for children But At last A good Scary Movie For children W/out the cussing and other stuff they put in movies. I just watched it the other night with a 6 year old and a 8 year old, They LOVED IT!"

My kids those this movie! It's rare if they sit down and watch movie all the way through, but they did with this movie! It was a great show!
