Strange book. My husband and I read it together and then did our bible reading and devotionals after, and we both felt the book was a strange story. It was highly recommended my lot's of friends from church who loved it, but we just thought it to be odd. Just keep in mind, it's a STORY , not real, and does NOT explain God. The Bible however does. I understand being open and just keeping an open mind, thats how we read it, but it was not something we felt was about who God is, but a Strange Story of someone's opinion and fantasy.

I loved this book - it was fantastic. It was recommended by a friend of mine last year, and it took a while for me to read it. I have a four year old daughter, and I had to mentally prepare myself for the content. Once I got into the book, I found it a very comforting and inspiring read. It tapped into my own thoughts about the Trinity, different aspects of humans depicted through the various manifestations of each.

My best friend loved this book and encouraged me to read it. She said it explained things about God and made thing so clear to her. The thing about this book is that it is flawed in its doctrine and can lead a person who does not have a good foundation in bibilcal doctrine away from the truth.

This book started out very good and very interesting, but as it went on it started to lose me. I didnt end up finishing it because it lost my interest. :(

You must, must, must keep an open mind when you read The Shack. God can do/be whatever God wants to be. Just get the message from the book, and don't be too concerned with the semantics.

This book will change your life! There were so many times I had to go back and re-read chapters to fully grasp the message. You will not be disappointed with some of the confusing moments in the text. I read this over 6 months ago and have passed on the book to a co-worker who keeps passing it on and on. This book will definately give you back faith and spirituality. This story is awesome!

This book has had so many mixed reviews by people and I think you have to have an open mind going into the story. The view of the Trinity in this book should be looked at as a figurative example, not literal. This book made me yearn for a deeper relationship with God and it showed me new ways to think about my relationship with God as well as the depth of His love for his creation.

This is a terrifically written book. This is the number 1 recommended book out there. Will keep you turnign the page to see what happens next. A perfectly written ending.

This was an interesting book. It was a different take on portraying the Trinity and thinking about grief. It is a good book to read.

I have just started reading this and it is hard to get into - but I have heard really good things so I am going to keep at it. The writing is not my favorite though

It is such a interesting read, with so much power adds to your life thoughts, feeling, desires, helps in so many ways to give, love, forgive and know Gods direction for life/death. .

I really enjoyed reading this book. I am a strong believer already, but this book makes you realize just how powerful and amazing the trinity is. It has a great plot and awesome characters. I would definitely read more from this author because he is a great writer.

Such a thought provoking book. Although the story is one that we can not easily believe, it poses such a personal account of love, forgiveness and healing. It has been such a theraputic book for people I know that are trying to cope with loss and questions about how bad things come to good people. I cried and laughed and just sat and pondered. Loved it.

I absolutely LOVED this book. I purchased it in paperback, ebook and audiobook. It is a very clear explanation of the love of God for man.

i loved this book, i read it about 6 months ago. i could not put it down when i started. it really makes you realize that God is really closer to us then we even know. I told everyone i knew about it and suggested it as a great book.
