I think these books are great. Were they the best written books ever? No, but despite all the sex scenes and f bombs, I found myself unable to put them down and read the whole trilogy in less than a week. It does have lots&lots&lots of sex scenes, but underneath is a love story that keeps you reading.

This book was awful! It was so poorly written. I had no problem with the sex scenes i just hated the main character. I could not relate to her in any way at all. I am sorry any college educated girl who was so smart never would have stuck around for him. Maybe if it was just the freaky sex but not with everything that went along with the pleasure. He was creepy

I started reading and couldn't put it down. I have to agree the second book was the best, I got confused when I started reading the third book, until I got into it. I enjoyed the books

I really enjoyed reading these books.

I liked this trilogy and will read it again. I dont see this becomming a good movie in any way possible as they would either have to make it X rated or ommit the most important (and often) scenes, and these are the parts that are drawing all of us in, so please leave it all up to our imagination and dont ruin it with a movie.

Once I started reading these books, I couldn't get enough! I blew right through them and have now started reading again! I am love with these books! When it boils down to it, it's just a great love story! :) Laters, baby! ;)

I bought this not understanding why it was so popular, but I figured I'd educate myself. after the first book, about 2 pages into the 2nd book, I was hooked on the storyline and really, just read the rest of #2 and #3 because I needed to know what happened. As soon as I started #2, I realized that everything was SO repetitive. I really don't understand why these books are so popular. Even the s&m piece is so repetitive. I'd only recommend this to a friend if they had time to burn and wanted to read what all the talk was about ;)

Have read Book 1 & 2, am just getting started on three. I got sucked into the story of the two characters in Book 1 so continued. I can agree with many of the reviews. There are times in Book 2 where I was a little bored with how "in love" they said they were. I can also say that it was nice to know that there was at least a love story to it and not all S&M. There are times when I have to remind myself to take a breath, and there are others where I have to force myself to stay awake reading it. I have read way worse books that's for sure. The series isn't suppose to be a classic like Shakespeare, Bronte or Twain, it is something that is simply fun to read. Will finish the series for some of my fun Summer reading.

I didn't like this. I really, really tried to read it and it basically turned me off. It was not the sexual content that turned me off, it was the characters and the writing. If my boyfriend treated me the same was and ruled over me like Christian, I don't care how much money he had, I would be out the door. It was just too much for me to take. Sorry.

I love this trilogy I'm having a little problem of putting down the books I'm addicted to them . I just can't wait for the movie I hope they have a dreamy actor for this role. I can Imagine Emma Stone for Ana But for Christian that's a hard one I want Matt Bomer and Alex Skarsgard !!!

I just finished book one and can't wait to read the other 2. Only decided to read them because of all the hype and then heard they are making a movie. Never got into the Twilight series or Hunger Games but thought this series would be more to my liking. Did not expect the s&m when I started but I think the author does pretty well with it. I really like the characters and can't wait to see what happens with them in the next 2 books. The author has me hooked.
