I have to agree that the pedi paws bogs down when pressure is applied. I like the dremmel better... I have a cordless one that I bought for just a few more dollars that the pedi paws. I also use the "low" setting on the dremmel! Good Luck!

I do like this tool, the nails smell soo bad though lol,we also tried it without the cap on and just used the drummel, which seemed to work just as good, its handy but dogs hate the sound of it,so we had to lay on them to get them use to i...but not a bad idea, for the money Id say worth maybe 10$ not $20

This is definitely not for my dog. He hates how long it takes (the motor is fairly weak). I will have to dig out the dremel and try that.

This is great for a small dog. It takes time to get results, but he prefers this method. Sometimes he even falls asleep while I am holding him & using the PediPaw. My larger dogs nails are not easy to use the PediPaw on.

It works ok. it takes alot longer to get the job done then to just clip my dogs nails. My dog really hates it.

I work in a department store and have had a ton of these returned. The customers say they are too slow and the animals wont sit for that long.

I love mine! Works great on my older dog. She is so fussy in her old age, hair cuts, manicures etc(not like when she was younger).

I bought this for my doberman...she HATED it. It wasn't too loud but I think for big dogs it just isn't strong enough. If they made a stonger one I would try it again...good concept, just not good for large breeds.

The reviews are right- it has a very weak motor. BUT, rather than completely dismissing it, I varied my technique, and was successful. All in all, I think a Dremel would be better, and we may work up to it- but this was a good starter to get my dog used to the vibration/noise of filing her nails and help her overcome her fear of having her nails touched in general.
