Mercy Thompson is an Volkswagen mechanic living in the Tri-cities of Washington State. She is smart, funny, and surrounded by a supernatural cast that will keep you intrigued. Mercy herself is a shape-shifting Coyote, trying to live a normal life, but with all of her fey, werewolf, and vampires friends, this is not an easy task. Mercy is a strong female character and is not afraid to kick a little supernatural butt to keep herself safe. Patricia Briggs has managed to create a world in which all of these supernatural beings exist and interact in a completely believable and likable way. No sparkly angst-filled vampires here! This is a great series to escape into!
