This book will surely cause you to reflect on your life and how it has been best served for the Lord. It caused me to examine my own church goings and decide if I'm married and commited to the the church I attend or merely just dating it and passing through. This is something my family and I have always struggled with.To attend or not to attend is the question every weekend. And admittingly more often than not we chose to stay home for whatever reason. In his book Joshua Harris shows us that we are not only letting God down by doing this, but our local church and ultimately ourselves. Here is a quote from the book,?..Through the gospel and participation in the local church, Christians are teammates in the deepest sense of the word. Our affection and love for God's people should be palpable. It should run deep. And our awareness of our need for others should fill us with an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the privilege of Sundays together.? This book has made me put more thought into what I am actually doing when I decide not to commit to a church. And made me realize it is doing alot more harm than good. This book was given to me for free for my honest review through the Waterbrook Multnomah Blogging for Books program.
