Based on Julia Child's TV series and written by Dorie Greenspan, this book has never failed me, and that says a lot. Normally I prefer books by a single author rather than compilations, but in this case it preserves the idea of the show where Julia Child brought different bakers into her kitchen. I've made easy recipes from the book as well as some of the more complicated ones, and they've all been clearly written, easy to follow, and the results have always been very good. I recommend this book to everyone who asks about baking books.
