I am not very impressed with this. I purchased two and was very excited as I make a lot of pies during the holiday season and the foil thing sucks. If you are not using a Pampered Chef pie plate the ring does not fit well. When I lay it on a unbacked pie I have to play with it to cover most of the crust. Just last night I used the ring on a "cheated" pie I bought and half the crust came out burnt because of how it lay. I have to disagree with a another review. I believe this is flimsy one of mine is slightly bent, I have stored this nicely but somehow it is still bent plus, it feels like you can fold it in half very easily. Overall, not impressed at all save your money and get one that is cheaper or stick to the foil method.

Good idea, poor execution. It does not over store bought pie pans well and juices stick to the interior which tears the crust upon removal. Sad it did not work as planned.

I'm only giving this 3 stars because it does not fit the pie plate I got from pampered chef but it is a wonderful idea

Pie comes out perfect golden brown edges and no foil to waste!!

I have been looking for this for 2 days! People and sales associates looking at me like it does not exist!! I really want/need this! I am tired of fiddling with the foil! Where can I find in store???!!!

I have not tried this product out yet, but it seems much better than aluminum foil. I will have to get me one of these!

Sounds interesting.

Comparing this to the alternative of aluminum foil would seem sufficient. It is flimsy, however, makes the process go much faster than aluminum foil.

Without testing it I can't give it 5 stars,but I think that this is a great idea

I really like the concept of this product and the Pampered Chef version is really good. However, I think it is a little flimsy and if could be made stronger would work better. Overall, I do recommend.

I would have loved to review this product. I have heard about it before reading all the wonderful reviews. This is a great gift idea also. I'll put this on my wish list!

I've owned these pie crust shields for quite a few years and I really do like them...it's so nice not having to "sculpt" tin foil! They fit wonderfully on my Pyrex pie plates. My only complaint would be that they are fairly flimsy so I have to be careful washing and storing them.

Seriously why didn't someone think of this sooner. I love it and it has saved my pies for years. I need another one for the upcoming holidays

This is a great product. I have tried making my own shield out of a pie tin but it falls off. I spray a bit of Pam on the backside that is going over the pie and this helps prevent it from sticking. Pampered Chef is great for anticipating our needs and developing products for them.
