Has a great selection of toys; however, it is really overpriced and the clearance is poor. The only redeeming factor is that they price match Amazon which has helped with keeping the costs low without having to wait for shipping from Amazon.

During anytime of the year, they have every selection of toys and games that kids of any ages may desire. Toys R Us knows there are no competitions out there from other stores so they are lacking in customer service. Unlike other stores, Toys R Us DO NOT price matched, offered rainchecks or readily price adjusted. Their register is horrible at doing returns if you don't have a receipt. Other stores like Target will offer to do a credit card lookup but Toys R Us system can only do it at random (may or may not find your item). However, I think they recently offered to let you do a no-receipt return with an ID to offset their limitations. Toysrus.com is good effort but still have many glitches for any buyer. If you do a store pickup order, especially during store busy season, there is no guarantee that the store pulled your order on time while the item is instock. Be prepared to get a cancellation notice, even if you ordered before store's opening hours. Toysrus.com purchases can be returned to the store (to avoid return shipping charges). THE WORST about toysrus.com is that you can only get instore merchandise credit for any toysrus.com returns, even with proof of original form of payment. This is UNACCEPTABLE. I was told that toysrus.com and the store's systems are independent. However, if you get a willing supervisor, you can get an override to return to your credit card if that was the form of payment.

I agree that while their selection is much larger, their prices are much higher than their local competitors. It didn't used to bother me too much because I liked having a wider selection, but the past several times I've shopped their I've left with a bad taste in my mouth. For starters, they run some great coupons ( especially this time of year) but I have never seen another store with so many exclusions on their coupons. The biggest one being you can't use any type of coupon on a "hot" toy, which is basically ever relevant toy. Once you put a lay a way on, if an item you have on your order goes on sale they will not adjust the price where their competitors will. You can earn r us bucks for your purchases but they break them down so you can only use one at a time. And most imoortantly IMO, their customer service is terrible. I was looking for a specific toy that wasn't on the shelf and after a half hour of arguing with an associate she finally agreed to scan the barcode to revea they had two boxes full in the back. In the same visit I asked 2 different associates on the floor if they price match and was told absolutely, I spent an hour shopping around with all my match ups only to get to he register and be told they DO NOT price match and would not honor what I was told by the other associates (this came from a manager). Oh and they will not honor an item if it is priced wrong. All in all I think they really need to work on their policies. They may have a better selection but it comes at a cost.

Toys R Us is out of business and I can understand why. They were super expensive. Excited when I got to go in one as a kid, but rarely ever bought anything from there.

Was the #1 toy store until mostly all us stores went bankrupt! Little pricey for toys! But during holiday time great sales!

Overpriced, plain and simple. While they do have a nice, expansive selection of product; I can usually find the same product online for a fraction of the cost.

I think Toys R Us is now charging way too much money for their toys.

This is a store that I like to take my kids to, but I don't particularly like to shop there myself. I usually find that their selection is a bit small compared to shopping online, and the prices are unusually high. The coupons that they distribute always have a huge list of things that you can't use them with, and you can't use them on anything that is already on sale. We only shop here if we have to have a particular item very quickly, or if it's a special occasion for our son and he is picking out his own toy.

One year for my son's birthday I decided to make a wishlist for him in order for my family to have ideas on what he likes. This was when he was turning three. Every year my family and I use it for the kids so we know what they want and it makes it easier on us to choose something for a gift, something we know that they will like. Unfortunately I just learned recently that any items that are purchased from the wishlist and bought online (products that can't be purchased at the local Toys R Us store) can NOT be returned to a local Toys R Us store. My son recently received a microscope as a present and it doesn't work properly. In order to return this item I would need the packing slip, which my friend does not have. I like using their wishlist but from now on I won't put on any product that can't be bought at my local Toys R Us store. I am actually going to contact Toys R Us online to see how to resolve this matter, I will update with more information when I find out.

Toys R Us isn't a store we buy items at very often. I've found other super centers have just as good a supply and things are generally cheaper.

Toys R' Us has a great selection of toys for kids of all ages but I only go there once in a blue moon and that's only when I have a gift card. The store is very over prices. I can almost always find a better deal at Walmart or on Amazon.

A bit pricey for me but still a good store to find what toy your looking for

Good variety of toys, especially when we are looking for something specific. However, I have found even their sale prices are high. Other stores everyday prices for the same items are lower. I also don't like the return policy and what a hassle it is to take something back.

A little pricey and ours is a bit far so we do not shop there very often.

Out of Business So sad that this store went out of business. It was a classic! My kids loved to go.
