I am not a fan... My screen died after 3 months. Amazon did replace it but it was a hassle! I hate not having a built in light also.

hubby bought me one for my bday it was just the one that wasn't touch. great for reading ! still download & add to my kindle every time I find a new good book out ! & links up to the amazon page so you can get free books too ! :D

I think that i would really love one of these! Is it worth the money or is a cheaper version of a 'knockoff' a better deal?

Love my Kindle. I have the 2nd generation but it's still awesome. i love being able to switch between several books in one device as I am often a mood reader. I read a lot more and it a lot easier than carrying a million books. The books are cheaper, some are even free! It's even an eco friendly option aside from using the library. Love it!

I love my kindle, I wish I had more time to read it, but other than that I have no complaints. I have gotten a ton of free books and will never get them all read so I am excited.

I have the kindle with 3g and wifi. It is a great tool and I am satisfied with it. I do wish it had color instead of just black and white (screen images). Overall I love it.

I love my Kindle. It was such a nice gift. I love having books at my fingertips. I just wish some of the books were a little cheaper. Other than the price of books it is one of the greatest things I won. I love to have my USA Today delivered every morning on my Kindle. Fun

amazing product!!!use it to read books,loan library books using my amazon account,go on web and listen to music i download onto it :D :D the kindle fire is in color and is better in my opinion but I havent tried it.

I LOVE my kindle!!....When I see a book I might be interested in, I can quickly and easily find it and download it!...It allows you text to speech on most books, so when you are tired but not enough to fall asleep it will read to you!...The only down fall to my kindle is that there is no light on it, I got a clip on light but it would be nice if it had a low lit green or blue background light to read when other people are trying to sleep in the same room! Also I noticed that if you turn the wireless off when you are reading and not downloading it will save your battery, because that does seem to drain quickly if you leave wireless on continuously. There are A LOT of free books you can get, mostly older but still free! It would be nice if they gave you a 20 dollar credit when you bought your kindle to go towards books though considering the cost!...all in all I would purchase the kindle again in a heart beat!!!

OMG I LOVE IT! I'm a total bibliophile and have a disgusting amount of books. (I can't use my dresser for clothes because it's full of books that I have to protect from my kids! That's why we have laundry baskets, right?) I have been dying to get an eBook reader & had decided on the new Sony Touch. However, my wonderful hubby bought me the Kindle for Christmas and I think it's awesome! I love having so many books right there and I love that they download so quickly, Wireless internet is rather slow, even w/ a top notch connection so I generally do not use it to access the internet. I would love some added features, like expandable memory and a back light. I am purchasing a cover with a light for my Kindle so that I can read it in low light situations as I don't want my eyes to be strained. I also wish that the books were cheaper. Since I am not purchasing a physical book and Amazon can decide to access my account and delete my purchases (as I have heard recently) I do not feel that the books are worth as much as they charge. I feel that if I am going to spend $7-20 on a book/series, I should have an actual book that I can stamp and share with others (which is a feature of physical books that Amazon doesn't allow.) Bottom line, I love this thing. It's one of the best inventions ever. I just think it needs some tweaking.

I liked my Kindle when I first got it, but I did feel that there was one issue that they could have fixed easily. I didn't like the fact that there was no back light and the clip on light I bought glared really bad. I would have been much happier with it if it would have had this and I would have paid a little more if necessary. I am a bed time reader and was hoping to be able to read without leaving the main lamp on and disturbing my husband. I have since bought the Kindle Fire and my problems are gone but I thought I would mention this in case Amazon may see it and take it into consideration!

I really love my Kindle! You can download books for less than a paper version would cost and once you do you can do so much with it. Such as: put it in a category like, fiction, or after you're done reading it you can put it into a category and call it "books I've read" or something like that. While reading you can search for the meaning of a word by putting the cursor at the front of the word and the meaning comes up at the bottom. You can enlarge the letters for instances when you don't want to wear your glasses. The Kindle keeps track of where you are in the book so that when you open it you are right where you left off. You can take notes, and even have the book read to you (although the voice doesn't use inflection or pause at all of the right times, but it comes in handy when you're doing the dishes). Not all books have this capability though. I especially like that I can have multiple books with me without having the weight and bulk of carrying the paper version. And with the Kindle you can read it outside in bright light, which comes in handy when at the beach or just reading outside.

Between the three users in our family, our Kindle is rarely turned off. Considering which model to add to the family, next. :) We love the accessibility to so many books in one place, and storage of them in such a small space can't be beat!

Oh how I love my Kindle! I am never without a book to read!!
