I don't like vampire shows

I watched this and i am greatly disappointed in how they portrayed the characters compared to the book. i rather stick with the book.

I tried watching it but after 30mins into it I got bored....i did not like this show at all...twilight all the way!!!

ok show I loved watching this show for the first few seasons but then it got weird. Didn't like it when Elena left the show and then they added other shows that tied into, which you had to watch as well to keep up

I used to watch this all the time when it came out, but stopped watching this season. It just seems like it's all about the actress and actor that plays Elena and Damon, respectively. I know they are dating in real life, but does the entire show have to based around them. Also, there are a few actors/actress on the show that I feel cannot act to save their lives, and makes it difficult to watch the show. Given that is just my opinion.

I gave this show a few tries, but couldn't get past the forced acting.

I am a HUGE Twilight fan & I was a bit skeptical when this show started. I wouldn't say that I'm obsessed with it, but I DVR it every week & watch it along with other various shows I am interested in. I would agree that the storylines of V.D. & Twilight are totally different & I can't say that I am 100% sold on Vampire Diaries. I'm thinking I may eventually read the V.D. books & see how I truly feel about it then.

The preview made me want to watch it. I was into it for a while and then I kinda lost interest. I kept seeing Edward and Bella. I know its not the same story line but I guess thats just me.

I think the show is great especially if you don't go into it comparing it to True Blood or Twilight. This show has its own feel.

I agree with most that it is incredibly similar to "Twilight." Considering that L.J. Smith started the "Vampire Diaries" series in 1991 (source: Wikipedia), it's easy to conclude that Stephenie Meyer might have used Smith's series as inspiration for the happenings at Forks High in the "Twilight" series.

LOVE it. dont like the character of elana, but the story line is pretty good. I think the writers can do way better though.

This is a must DVR if you can't watch it. If you love Twilight you will love this too.

I love the show. The book is so different from the show that i rather watch it.Because the book is not ass exciting as the tv show.

I lvoe this series, LJ smith's writing is very good. its just a shame that they decided to fire her after midnight and hire a ghost writer. Sad really. But as for her books, I love them! The show is really good too. I adore how they have it and these were written before Twilight was just so you know.

I started watching this show when I ran out of episodes to The Originals when I found out it was a spin off I had to check it out. Im so glad I did. The first couple episodes I struggled through but now im so Team Damon its ridiculous. The characters are relatable and entertaining. The story lines keep me hooked. This is not just a show for teenagers as I once thought.
