I received a sample of this from Sephora and I hated it. I think I am the only person who doesn't like it. I have very sensitive skin and it made if red and irritated. I also though it smelled horrible.

I have had a few samples of this product and I really want to like it but I can't. The smell is terrible and I can't get past that. On that alone I would not recommend it,

I must have a sensitive nose since I am the only person who doesnt like the smell. The smell was a huge disappointment. The product itself was non geasy adn very easy to use. Made my skin feel super smooth. However after just 3 days of using I had to stop becuase the smell was so bad. My husband would not come near my face if I was wearing this because the smell was so pungent. I also only put it on at night for fear that people around me could smell me .

This product did a reasonable job, but the smell was a turnoff, and somehow stings my eyes (even though I don't apply around my eye area).

I only gave it 2 stars b/c of the SMELL. UGH!!!!! I could not get over how bad the product smelled, even 30 minutes after putting it on!!!! I seriously can't believe that none of y'all have an issue with the smell??? Also, while the product did seem to give me moisture, it just wasn't enough. I tried rubbing on an extra layer of the moisturizer, in hopes of making it work for me, but it got too thick and began to flake off. That, coupled with the awful fish oil smell, was enough for me to call it quits. I do, however, love Philosophy, and their Microdermabrasion Kit (3pcs.)!

Loved everything but, the scent. I have a very sensitive nose and get allergies to certain scents and I was disappointed that with this I got a reaction to the scent. It was terrible till I discovered When hope is not enough and that was so much better. But, now that it is discontinued I've had to find an alternative and it has been hard.

Not worth the $34.00, and if you buy direct from Philosphy it takes over ten days to get your purchased product in the mail, and you pay a high shipping price. I suggest if you like Philosphy products to purchase them from QVC where shipping costs are way less and you get the product in three days.

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT ! REALLY ALL OF THEIR PRODUCTS.

This moisturizer is only okay.... I'm not sure what all the hype is about. And like some of the other reviews have mentioned, there is an odd (plastic-y?) smell.

I find this overpriced for the results. It is only fair as a moisturiser and, although it doesn't actually make my skin look worse, I haven't noticed any improvement.

I have combo skin and find that Hope in a Jar is too rich for me in the warmer months, at least in the t-zone. I use Hope in a Bottle most of the year, supplemented with Hope in a Jar on my cheeks in the drier winter months. I love philosopy products and find their Makeup Optional kits a great bargain. My skin looks better now in my 40s than it did in my 20s. Considering I'm often told I look significantly younger, I won't stop using this product unless it ceases to exisit.

I LOVE Philosophy products. I have very sensitive skin but have never experienced any reaction & their products leave my skin smooth & supple. They can be a bit pricey, but a little goes a long way.

A little pricey, but definitely worth it. It lasts a long time, and it's one of the best moisturizers I own.

i have extremely sensitive skin and am allergic to propylene glycol. after two years of trying all the creams in the market and not finding anything that suited my skin i finally found hope in a jar - for dry and sensitive skin. its working wonders for me. i recommend this to everyone.

This has a nice citrus-y smell. It's a light moisturizer and has a nice whipped/airy texture. If you have dry skin, you might need something more intense. I have normal skin and use it in the mornings before I put on make-up. At night, I use a more intense moisturizer.
