Frontline is not doing its job anymore. I have currently switched to a natural product diatomaceous earth i mix very little in the food fleas and worms gone in both cats and dogs. Research your animals weight to see how much to give

I have used Frontline for years on both my dogs & cats. However, this year we started noticing more fleas and my vet recommended a change. The dogs are now on Comfortis and the cats on Revolution. Flea problem under control!

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong with application of Frontline Plus? I purchased a 6-pack (for our two cats) at Costco and applied yesterday. I was under the impression that the fleas would die immediately after application. I brought the kitties into the bathroom this morning and did a thorough flea combing on them. To my utter dismay, live fleas were still everywhere on them. I thought that I had applied exactly as the instructions said. Either I've done something wrong, or the product is simply very poor. I believe the Costco brand which is less than half the price of Frontline Plus (maybe even a third less), worked just as well (which really means not too well), and it left the cats very greasy for about a week after and we still had fleas with that product too. I am not recommending either product. I haven't tried this yet, but I have read that (food grade) DE (Diatomaceous Earth) which you may be able to purchase at farm type stores or online, is a natural remedy for the issue of fleas in your home. It apparently dries the eggs up. You can also you it on directly on your pets. It is entirely safe to use (it can even be eaten), except to be careful with application into your carpets as it may create a dust cloud when applying and can irritate the lungs. You just have to apply gently. I am very disgruntled at the fact that I just paid $65 for a product that doesn't even begin to work. It is way too expensive to not have resolved the problem and I really hate using all of these harsh chemicals, but I want fast results. I really think that fleas are becoming resistant to all of these chemical products, because year after year the problem seems to get worse.

I will never use this product again, my cat had a sever reaction to it. I will stick to bathing her in Dawn dishwashing liquid.

This year frontline didn't work for our dogs. I even wrote to the company and gave our vets info where we get the frontline from.. I hope something better comes out next year.

I have to say that I am not very pleased with this product. I have an indoor cat that has only recently become and indoor/outdoor cat. Being the economical person that I am I started at the bottom pricewise as far as flea control when we noticed a problem. We worked our way up to Frontline Plus which is the most expensive and therefore, one would think, the best. It has not worked. We are continuing to use the frontline in the hopes that it will begin working better since we are out of options. Sadly my poor kitty has a little rash on his neck for a couple of days following treatment. This is in addition to the pesky fleas that have forced us to make him an outdoor only kitty.

Frontline plus for cats absolutely DOES NOT WORK! My cats have never had a flea problem before, but I began using Frontline recently and now we have a HUGE flea problem. I called my local cat groomer and he told me that Frontline is notorious for working only on dogs, not cats. He recommended that I try Revolution or Advantage but not to waste my money on Frontline for cats. Wish I had known that before my house became overrun!!

I think Frontline has changed thier formula. Because the past 2 years I have been battling fleas on and off because the Frontline is not working. I switched to Advantage and it has been working good on the fleas but it doesn't protect against ticks. I need a product that protects against both and I am having a hard to paying alot of money on Frontline when it's not working. I have three big dogs and two cats I have to treat.

Until this product comes down in price, I have a 4 pet home, there is no need to buy this over other products of the same or better caliber.

This product never protects for long, and doesn't kill the fleas for very long. Now I don't have a strictly outdoor cat, my cat stays inside mostly, but comes out for walks, or when she feels like playing outside, so I feel bad for those who have outdoor cats. The only reason I even tried this product is because my vet put on a treatment during a check up, normally I use a different brand. Long story short... I changed vets after that.

I breed Scottish Fold cats & have 3 inside, we never had a problem with fleas until we fostered a few kittens for the local animal shelter, I tried the powders & remedies you get at stores like Wal-mart to no avail, so I bought Frontline Plus from my vet. While we did see a slight relief from the fleas on the cats they all 3 had huge scabs where we applied the oil & they were in obvious pain. I checked with my vet & we had used the correct dosage, he informed us that almost 50% of his "patients" have had this reaction. I found Revolution online with excellent reviews & so we tried it with marvelous results! Revolution protects against fleas, round worm, heart worm, & ear mites, it works immediately & our cats love it!

way to expensive specially if you have a multi cat home.... it is so important to protect our animal but it is just too costly to use this

I have always used Frontline ever since i have had great danes. However, for some reason this year it's not working very well. I had talked to my vet about the flea problem and she had said to used it every 3 weeks instead for every 4 wks. Well that gets very expensive considering i have great danes. However there is another flea medication out called Comfortis (probably misspelled it), but it is in a pill form and suppose to work better. I will write a review when I give to my babies, I had just put Frontline on 3 days ago and am not able to give it to them yet.

This stuff is expensive. There are quite a few brands out there that do just as good a job and aren't nearly as expensive. I find Revolution to work much better at keeping fleas and ticks off our cat and have stopped using this brand.

3 days before we went to the cabin, I put Frontline on my Lab. When we got back to the city, My dog was running a fever and very sick. We pulled off over 100 ticks; some of them were so deep in her skin that we had to cut them out, and all of them were still alive. I though that it was suppose to kill the ticks as soon as they bit her. I have never been so disappointed in Frontline. My Parents used it on their dog all the time, and they too have switched to a different brand, since they live at the cabin.
