i would say lip gloss is ok, but mascara might be too much. It might smudge and get in their eyes.

As a girl going into the 7th grade. I can tell you in 6th grade to be honest I used a little eye shadow that complimented my eye color. And some lip gloss. Not anything severe. but if you have acne, you may wanna wear some foundation or powder of some sort.

I wasn't allowed to wear makeup and was just fine. But I loved my Bonnie Bell Lip Smackers! 6th grade is too young for makeup; why do we allow our kids to grow up so fast? They have a lifetime!

When I turned 13, I was officially "allowed" to wear makeup. I went out and bought the whole works (foundation, blush, eye shadow, mascara, etc.)... but only really used the mascara and lip gloss. I also LOVED having a Cover Girl powder compact and carrying it around in my purse. I felt SO grown up to look at myself in the mirror and dabbing a little powder on my cheeks here and there.

yeah lip gloss is ok but you should try using clear mascara just so it won't smudge

I don't think 6 graders should be thinking about wearing lip gloss or any kind of makeup at this age. They should be more concerned about their school work and nothing else. They have plenty of time to grow up.

Clear mascara and a REALLY sheer pinky lipgloss is all I wore in sixth grade! I also had oily skin though so if you do you might want to carry some blotting paper :D

Bonnie Bell lip smackers, and special occassions a little light colored nail polish. Maybe a little hair product for special occassion too.

Lipgloss and maybe clear or tinted mascara is enough. Maybe a coloured mascara for fun things like a birthday party. My first makeup was Bonne Belle lipglosses and Lipsmakers, and Maybelline Great Lash & Clear mascara.

My sister is going into seventh grade, so last year she and her friends would come home wearing super heavy make up, but the real problem was, they didn't know how to wear it. If anything, I'd suggest a sixth grader to wear a clear mascara, and (what i did with my sister) have them wear natural eye shadow. They feel like they're so cool wearing make up, but it is barely noticeable. And she'd always want to wear black eyeliner, but I have her wear a thin brown line of eyeshadow using the tip of the provided applicator at her lash line. A clear lipgloss will also work for a girl of such young age. And baby soft perfume (my favorite perfume when I was that age.)
