So, I'm only half way through the book so far... the chapters are short but its still hard to find a stopping point and put the book down! Annika is so much like me it's easy to relate and still different enough to keep me guessing what will happen next. I did notice, however, there is not a single discussion started in this blog... so lets get to it! How far have you gotten and what do you think? This is the first book I've read by this author so I'm eager to see what's to come.

Exactly! My first thought was that my grandmother needs to read this as soon as possible! Other than a few specific details (I was never good at chess) and mannerisms I feel like I'm reading my own memories.

We're so glad you are enjoying 'The Girl He Used to Know'! There is actually a bigger discussion going on about it here: shespeaks.com/discussForums/135713. We look forward to hearing more of your thoughts on the rest of the book!

I loved how she gets right into the story. It's refreshing to see a female character that isn't set in the standard mold. I'm also enjoying the format of the book - the back and forth between time and. the alternating narrators. I'm a big fan of short chapters too.

Yes! Exactly, what I was thinking ... I call them cookie cutter characters.

So, Im half way through And I absolutely love how this book is written. Giving the perspective of both people on the same situation. It's beautiful. Also, Annika seems to definitely on the spectrum, and it's so great that this book shows that they can have normal relationships. So many people forget that. I am tearing through the chapters to see what happens next.

Just finished the book. Absolutely loved it. The characters are great and Annika really comes a long way and is a really strong person. They both are good people. The chapters are short (which I like) and was very hard to put down. I couldn?t wait to pick it up again. I was really captivated with everything these 2 characters have been through. Really wonderful and I have already told my 4 friends to put this on their book list. I will pass the book I received on to my sister to read. Loved it
