Lasting relationships

In my many years of teaching positive thinking classes along with being married myself The main thing I like to tell people is that if you do not really LIKE yourself then how will someone else like you! The key to a successful union with two people is to actually begin with liking oneself, then go into the union with not expecting to change someone else or change for them, but by liking who and what they are. In growing a long term union remember as a couple you must grow together, however each of you must grow as individuals, don't expect your other to stop doing something just because you don't like it, because truth is you liked them enough to either marry or commit to them and this is part of them. While you would not want your other to tell you to stop working or doing music or what ever then give the same respect back. Every relationship has a shelf life, it could be a forever or a passing, don't look at it as what I need to fix to make it forever accept it as is and grow

yes indeed. The key to love and like others is to love yourself first.
