3 yr old (4th Child) Won't Potty Train

So my 4th child who just turned 3 years old will not potty train. She said that she loves diapers and pull-ups. We've tried everything from bribing, to sitting her on there and letting her read, to getting her excited because she's such a big girl. I have three other children who at the age of three years old wanted to be potty trained. She just isn't into it. She even has friends potty trained and it doesn't phase her that she is still wearing diapers.

Had this issue with one of my twins. Doctor said COMPLETELY IGNORE the issure for a few weeks and then try again...and to tell her we threw all of the diapers away when we tried again! worked like a charm....

Well I'm in the same boat except my daughter just turned 4! I even asked the pediatrician if there could be a bladder issue and she said we will talk about it around 5 or 6. My daughter has big girl undies and will pee in them every time usually within 5 minutes.

I would throw away the diapers, tel her that she is a big girl! No more bribing because then she will constantly expect a prize or treat every time she does something!

Thanks! We showed her the cute Minnie Mouse panties we purchased her. She is so excited to wear them! But she asked if she could wear them over her pull-up. Creative!

We did do away with the treats. It just seemed so easy with my other three kids. One day they wanted to be potty-trained. She just doesn't want to be. Going to put her in her panties when the temp goes up a little bit again and see what happens. Wish me luck! Thinking of you addavis83!

My 2nd child knows how to potty, has done it before, loves to wear pullups...but when we mention that she has to use toilet she will state she would rather wear her diapers. We are constantly trying to bribe her with prizes and treats but she refuses to use the toilet. Any suggestions are welcome. We have tried Everything

Well... I put panties on her yesterday. She loved wearing them, but pee'd in them within 20 minutes. Lots of tears. She begged to wear them again and that she would go potty on the toilet, so I put another pair on her. Every 15 minutes I asked her if she had to go. And every 30 minutes I put her on the potty. Still didn't work. She whined sitting on the potty. And within a couple hours she pee'd in her 2nd pair. She just woke up and asked to wear panties again. I told her once she goes on the big potty she gets to wear them all the time!

Have you tried 3 days straight with a bare bottom? Long shirt or short dress, but no diaper or panties.

You can try this trick that works for our two kids: use a big cardboard and put the days of the week on the left and long horizontal lines next to it. Buy her favorite fun gold stars ... stickers and each time she goes, make her put a star each time she goes to the potty. She might get excited and want more "stars". It worked for our kids and many other relatives who loved the idea. Good luck!
