Advice for turning 30...
on Sep 12, 2012
(Read 401 times | Comments: 1)
I'll be 30 next month, never been married, no kids, no real "career", and I'm not too excited about this. Of course, all of my friends have already turned 30, are already married, already have children, and have their lives completely settled. So, when I express my anxiety of turning 30, they look at it as "no big deal". Well, of course it's not a big deal to you, you have found someone to spend the rest of your life with. You do not wonder if you'll ever have the chance to have children before it's too late, and you aren't still wondering what you want to be when you grow up. For me, turning 30 is just a reminder of how much my life is NOT together.

First, recognizing that you are a "UNIQUE"individual and that even though your friends might have already married and so on...you are not like them. Everyone has an individual PURPOSE in this life, & if you choose to acknowledge it or not that is a reality. The fact that you have not been married or have had kids, or a career does not mean anything but a LACK of focus on your personal life. What does your heart truly desire? Where would you like to be in five years? I believe that setting goals for yourself is important and & as you go through life that process of learning something new or trying a new activity for FUN will lead you to that place that you DESIRE to be or have or that special someone. *You must not focus on other people's lives or compare yourself to them, because that is not you nor should you have what they have already accomplished. Get up to a fresh new day, and try something new and step out in faith and BELIEVE that a renewed HOPE will lead you today!
