Although cooking can be stressful for me, I find adding my own spin makes it fun and tastes better too. Besides, if you veer from the recipe, you can make it your own.

I do that all the time. I don't have the great cooking grandmother type in my family, so whatever recipes I find or a family member gives me, I'll follow the recipe the first couple times and then make a couple small changes to make it all my own. I've found that I'm a much better cool than my mom or mother in law.
