Why do you like this genre? Do you often read suspense/thriller books - and why?

I like this genre, but do not read it often. I think my favorite genre presently is historical fiction. Especially WWII novels, there have been some very brilliant works in that category over the past few years.

I love the mystery, the guessing, the unknown, of a thriller

I love a book that keeps me interested and thinking about what's going on, even when I'm not actively reading it. I like having to think and have the ability to try to figure out the mystery before I get to the ending. It's a chance to let my imagination run wild and lose myself entirely in another world, and thrillers take this to a whole new level.

When well written and clever, I think the thrill of solving the mystery or being totally shocked is so entertaining. Many authors leave me amazed at their creativity. Lisa Jackson is excellent, for sure. This book is pretty good - I kind of guessed one of the perpetrators but not the other. Not really. Don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't finished!
