I purchased a stainless steel bottle and discontinued buying/using multiple bottles of water at work every day. As of last year I also began using tote bags at the grocery store to cut down on the number of plastic bags being thrown away in our home. Our property is also a safe haven for the large amount of wildlife in our area - complete with bat houses, squirrel houses, bird houses and feeders, a large amount of fruit trees and seeding plants as an additional food source. Even the opossums get snacks!

Earth Day Every Day! I have recycled everything the centers would take since the first Earth Day. I preach recycling every chance I get. We buy goods made with recycled materials. We bring our own reusable bags to the store. We plan every trip to reduce our gasoline usage. I wish everyone would take recycling as seriously as my family and I do.

We set out 3 buckets to catch rain, recycle kitchen scraps, paper, and plastic, and bring our own bags to the grocery stores.

I have bags of bags for my grocery shopping, which I take when I go. I recycle daily, use public transportation to get to UCLA and back, and I try not to use plastic straws at all.

For the last few years, I've been making sure to either use up or give away items before buying a replacement. Overall, I'm very focused on renew/reuse and getting as much use out of something as I can before recycling it or throwing it away. Over the last year, I also started buying refillable versions of products whenever I can.
