My mom encouraged me to always do my best at everything I do, to give everything I do my all. It's led to me being a bit of a perfectionist, but at least I'm not just putting minimal effort into everything I do

My mom always taught myself and my siblings to be nice. Even when a person is not nice in return, to just always be nice to everyone. And now, I tell my girls the same thing. To be kind.
