In recent weeks, the new judge of The Voice has stirred controversy over her decision to stop wearing make-up, saying "I don't want to cover up anymore. Not my face, not my mind, not my soul, not my thoughts, not my dreams, not my struggles, not my emotional growth. Nothing."

What do you think - is this ground-breaking, or no big deal? If you wear make-up, would you ever go without?

I don't wear make up myself but it's refreshing to see people in entertainment industry to try it as well.

She is a beautiful woman & I applaud her for going makeup free. If I looked like her & had great skin, I would do the same.

I think its a big deal since she is on tv. I go without make up in public quite often but I must admit I would prefer to have makeup on if I was to be on tv!

I don't wear make up all the time. I only wear it on special occasions like weddings. Not wearing makeup makes people get use to seeing women in their natural state. There was one time I saw a friend in the morning and I was thinking something was wrong; perhaps she was sick? But it was because she hadn't put on her eye makeup yet. There are a couple of women that I know looks way better Without makeup but they are the type that has to put makeup on everyday. Right now Alicia may look a little odd because people aren't used to seeing celebrities without makeup but eventually she will look better than ever because her skin can breathe.

Good for her. I think it shows tremendous confidence and hope it helps illustrate how shallow we can be.
