In recent weeks, the new judge of The Voice has stirred controversy over her decision to stop wearing make-up, saying "I don't want to cover up anymore. Not my face, not my mind, not my soul, not my thoughts, not my dreams, not my struggles, not my emotional growth. Nothing."

What do you think - is this ground-breaking, or no big deal? If you wear make-up, would you ever go without?

Everyone who participates in the conversation will be entered for the chance to win a $25 Visa gift card. Giveaway is open through September 25th, 2016 to U.S. residents at least 18 years of age. (Congratulations to winner elsmarlouamrman!)

I agree with at least one of the other comments - it seems as if it would be a big deal, but it shouldn't be, and it does NOT feel as if is actually. So, she wears no makeup, I pretty much wear none on any occasion, and have not for many years.

I think it's great that she's comfortable enough in her own skin to that, but I also don't think it's that huge of a deal.

I love it !! I think that it is a wonderful message to the young ladies out there that they can be beautiful with or without makeup. But the most powerful message of all for them is with or without makeup be true to themselves. Yolanda The Rose Turner

It would seem ground breaking if she actually had bad skin or something to cover up. She already has great skin so it doesn't seem that big a deal to me.

I think it is a really good idea ~ gives her face a break from all the layers of makeup and chemicals, plus it's natural.

I am so glad that someone that is looked up to has decided to do this! I feel that there are too many shallow role models out there in the entertainment industry (and I should know, I work in the entertainment industry!!)

Natural is beautiful! I am very happy Alisha Keys is letting people know that make-up is not always needed. I also understand that some wear it to cover blemishes/scars. I only wear it once or twice a year for very special occasions. I do use chapstick and vaseline lip therapy (rosy lips) several times a week. Just be you with or without make-up!

I always go without makeup so this is not a big deal to me.

I think it's a big deal for a celebrity to do this although it's a bit sad that it is this way! Women should be able to be natural and free of makeup and it be a normal thing.
