In recent weeks, the new judge of The Voice has stirred controversy over her decision to stop wearing make-up, saying "I don't want to cover up anymore. Not my face, not my mind, not my soul, not my thoughts, not my dreams, not my struggles, not my emotional growth. Nothing."

What do you think - is this ground-breaking, or no big deal? If you wear make-up, would you ever go without?

Everyone who participates in the conversation will be entered for the chance to win a $25 Visa gift card. Giveaway is open through September 25th, 2016 to U.S. residents at least 18 years of age. (Congratulations to winner elsmarlouamrman!)

I don't wear makeup so I don't think it's a big deal. I think she looks lovely!

No big deal! I do not wear much makeup at all. Your True Beauty is without all that makeup covering up your scars etc :) Just be you and never be afraid to show your beauty! Beauty comes from the inside

It's really no big deal but glad more women are embracing the natural look.

It is not ground breaking, lots of people do not wear makeup. I feel more comfortable with myself wearing it though.

I am happy to hear Alicia has chosen to go natural! I hardly ever wear makeup and I always get comments on how nice my skin looks by those that do wear makeup. I think there are occasions to wear it but that most women don't need it. I think for celebrities if they stopped wearing makeup all the time it would make it easier for average women to relate and maybe stop comparing themselves.

Good for Alicia! I'm tired of women being subjected to beauty "treatments", suggesting that being with out make-up or perfect skin is some kind of disease. Let's be real!

It shouldn't be a big deal, but I know in the entertainment business it is a big deal. Good for her, maybe others will follow suit. I personally don't wear much makeup.

It is amazing, inspirational, and groundbreaking. I hope it starts a new trend so that young girls and women recognize that 99% of celebrities aren't as beautiful as they appear, and that there is no reason to aspire to that. As an aside, I know there is a lot of chatter about the WHY of what she is doing, and I want to simply state that: the reason doesn't really matter, the impact her choice has is what matters.
