What have you done to make a positive influence online? What have you seen others do? What else can be done?

A lot of people think if they can hide behind a computer screen it is okay to say whatever and be so rude and cruel but it is not, if they were put in front of someone they were saying the bad thing about they would think twice about what they are saying.

I always try to think beyond the negative comment itself to question what lies behind it. The answer is usually ignorance. I was raised to keep my opinions to myself, especially negative ones. So I often struggle with wanting to reply to a negative comment, but then I hold back and the result is that I feel guilty because I missed out on an opportunity to educate somebody.

If I know the person has had hate or mean comments I will write something positive about the person. Point out the good I see, make them feel like someone cares or sees that good in them. I also like to say that mostly hate messages come from someone hurting and to just ignore the bad comments.

To make it more positive one has to take away the negative. The negative being violence in any and all aspects of it. Drugs. Pornography.racism. cyber-bullying. Absolutely nothing but positive things about women.Homophobia. And last but not least. Any and all that negative towards America and the American way of life.

I think people need to stop posting stupid sayings that are mean and negative that they got from somewhere else! It is so stupid! Can't people think of better things to use Facebook and other websites like that for?

I think it is important to keep and protect" freedom of speech"alive in this country! Unfortunately, there will always be people who are cruel and ignorant. I think only love and positivity can overcome negativity and hatred. Understanding the struggles and suffering of women everywhere, I try to keep that in the forefrount of my mind when I read unflattering posts from them and I am full of hope that kindness can be contagious. I hope to be a beacon of inspiration and blessing. My heart is full of love for everyone.

I have had very (Extremely harmful) things written and shown about me online. So I defend the one's that cannot defend themselves. I don't ask why, I don't judge. These kinds of harassing behaviors have to stop. SOMEONE has to stand up and say. ENOUGH. My ex put me through Hell online and I came so close to committing suicide.. I found my inner fighter and said "ENOUGH".. These people need to be stopped. We have to show these women that they can not allow weak, ignorant morons that their words are not worthy of our emotions, our care and feelings.. We have to stand up and I say I will speak up if no one else will. I will make my voice be heard.

I agree. Replying to the person that is being harassed by giving hem positive feedback, negating whatever the negative person is saying is always a great way to make that negativity disappear.
