Are women supportive of each other?

We surveyed 2,000 SheSpeaks members and only 37% said that they believe that women are supportive of one another. Does that surprise you? Do you agree or disagree? Share your thoughts. We want to know what you think!

I see both sides of this coin. I feel that my closest friends are the MOST supportive and accepting people of me. They are my tribe. I do feel that in general many women can be catty and judging towards people they do not know well. Maybe it is a defense against their own insecurities. It seems to me that there's got to be a better way to treat others and to be treated.

Not surprising. Working moms vs. stay-at-home will never agree, yet they can't agree to disagree. We have to start standing together. In the workplace, it's probably even worse. Just too much competition. And we can't even agree that it is time to have a woman President, not just because she is a woman, but because she just might be qualified.

I think alot are supportive but we need more of us to be more supportive. There's to much competition and Jealousy out there that woman tend to fight one another and that's the problem. We truly need to come together. Men stand by each other in most cases and get along for the most part and we as women are more mature then they are but we don't show it at all.

I think as women we can be much more supportive of each other bcz in all reality we rule the world, so could u imagine how it'd be if we stuck together? This world would be a much more powerful place. What do u guys think?

I would like to think most women support each other but it seems in a lot of ways they are not.

I don't find this surprising because so many women live in jealousy and hatred towards other females...mostly insecure women like myself and most women are insecure.

In all honestly I thought it would be less. Maybe more towards to 40% of women feel supported or see support form other women. On a daily I see women rip each other apart and over things that shouldn't matter and over things they have no business being involved in. It's sad really how fast some are willing to attack others. I always try to be honest, even if that mean I come off as supportive, but honesty is always best and I am working on coming off supportive on line. In person I got it down. LOL
