I need to find an excellent red wine to serve at a formal tea. Most of the attendees prefer a desert wine, but The menu is a variety of finger sandwiches, and several tables of deserts. I'm not a wine expert and could use anyone's suggestion . thank you

Cupcake has a decent selection of reds and whites usually around $12 a bottle some places do a 2 for 20 deal. They also have a great Prosecco champagne for mimosa.( I aways add a splash of peachtree schnapps to mimosa )

Red wines I like; Cabernet; Merlot and Shiraz. -ALL DRY. Red sweet wines; sangria (very fruity) and dessert wine preferably Black Cork. it's really good. White wine dry: Pinot Grigio. White sweet wine: Moscato. (Bartenura brand and ecco domani) :) Enjoy ladies!

When I was running my Personal Chef business, I catered a lot of dinners, wine tastings and other events. I found a local (for me) FL winery that makes great and unique wines. I like my wines sweet but not dessert wine sweet and these fit the bill. They have a Blueberry Pinot Noir, 3 Berry Shiraz, and many others to choose from. www.muriellewinery.com. I would recommend looking for local wineries in your area and go to some wine tastings, which are usually free. Makes notes of the wineries and wines for future reference. Take your time and enjoy yourself!

A really nice red is Menage a Trois Red Blend. It's a blend of Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot. It's not sickeningly sweet but it's not too dry. Also it's an excellent price.

I love desert wines, last year my husband and I toured several counties and went wine tasting here in California. Here are some ideas you can purchase this wine at a big change grocery stores. Wilson Creek is the Winery (Temecula, CA) Angelica Cream Sherry, Decadencia is a chocolate wine, and their Almond Champagne is to die for.
