I need to find an excellent red wine to serve at a formal tea. Most of the attendees prefer a desert wine, but The menu is a variety of finger sandwiches, and several tables of deserts. I'm not a wine expert and could use anyone's suggestion . thank you

In many cases I prefer very sweet wines, but a Malbec or a Pinot Noir would be a semi sweet to dry in flavor and if looking for a white find a sweet reisling :)

I know this may be late but if not Cupcake Vineyards make excellent dessert wine. Their moscato is great! Also not sure of your location but Chaddsford Spring 2000 is awesome, as well as their Sangri La. Chaddsford is from Pa. Enjoy your celebration!

I too am a fan of Sutter Home. They are inexpensive and fantastic. They do make a sweet red. Sutter home is the brand I turn to when I am going to be sharing. Its the right price.

Jam Jar is a delicious not too sweet not too expensive red wine... can find it at most any liquor store. It's my favorite!

I love Moscato. Those from Italy are my favorite, but I also enjoy some from Australia.
