I don't know about you, but I could spend hours in the cookbook section of my library or bookstore. These are four of my favorite baking cookbooks: http://www.shespeaks.com/Four-Great-Baking-Cookbooks What are your's?

I feel the same same about fundraising cookbooks. I have found old recipes in these cookbooks that I could not find any one where else. Also I have a cookbook, Betty Rocker's 40th Anniversary Edition, that have all kinds of recipes for all kinds of foods, even telling you how to pick out the right type of vegetables, meats, fruits and baking ingredients. It is a well-worn, well-used cookbook.

I love cook books because I love trying new recipes all the time. I get bored easy with things and love food; therefor I need to switch it up a lot. Plus when you're on a budget and trying to get healthy it get's hard to come up with new stuff. So cookbooks help with that. Especially this one I have from Gooseberry Patch that is labeled "5 Ingredients or Less". Gotta love that. I have a few others, but that one is my fave. I am always looking up recipes. I don't buy cookbooks often though cuz they seem to be a lil on the expensive side. So I just look online for recipes usually.

My Fave 4 Cookbooks: #1: The Blue Willow Inn Cookbook--a great resource for Southern food, from the basics like sweet tea to old time favorites like Hummingbird Cake! #2: The Joy of Cooking--wonderful recipes & great info on ingredients & history #3: Betty Crocker Cookbook (red)--has the original, unchanged recipes from the 50s. Some of the best cake & pie recipes, classic & delicious!! #4: Anything by America's Test Kitchen-- wonderful recipes that creatively solve the problems you run into when cooking. You can depend on their recipes to turn out great everytime!

@glenny - I have the same "problem". I will sit for hours printing out recipes. I have found that getting a 3 ring binder and putting pocket dividers with category names (Dessert, Entrees, Side Dishes, Soups, etc.) has really helped. The recipes are still stuffed in the pockets (not three hole punched, with a page protector, and organized alphabetically as my intention always is) but at least its in the right category, making it easier to locate. As for all of the magazine and newspaper clipped recipes, I want to get a wand hand scanner (around $99 - you just swipe it over the page to scan - no clipping required) to scan, save, and aid in organization.

I like the Better Homes and Gardens cookbooks. I have the special edition for breast cancer. It even has a healthy choices section in the back and the recipes are absolutely delicious!! Also, the Betty Crocker books have some great recipes! A new one I found in there, called mexican shepherd's pie, is my picky husband's new favorite!

I love to cook! I have several favorite cookbooks and most of them are from local churches or businesses that put them together. I also receive the magazine Everyday Foods. This magazine is one of the best ones I have found for recipes that are simple and I have most of the ingrediants in my home.
