I have a mini blender I use for drinks, but more often as a chopper (as I don't have an electric chopper or food processor yet). I can make oatmeal fine and blend blanched spinach to hide in baked goods without the pickiest eater knowing.

I would say the blender too. It is used almost every day for healthy shakes or smoothies and I just made my weekly carrot soup. It gives it the perfect texture. It also almost fooled me when I ate my first mashed cauliflower in it - I LOVE mashed potatoes but was trying to eat healthier and I can see switching to it once in a while. I look forward to trying all the recipes I have set aside in it.

I have two that I could not live without...my slow cooker and my KitchenAid. Two items I use almost daily! On my wish list is the Keurig 2.0 and I think it might trump my other two favorites!
