Isn't that the way it always happens? lol I know it is around my house, and my kids are trying to talk their dad into getting a turtle, a lizard, and some fish. I already take care of the dog and the cats. lol I agree that pets are totally awesome, though, and wouldn't trade any of ours for the world.

I have had my Catahoula Leopard dog for 4 years.I'm not sure who rescued who.Gracie was the runt of the litter,4lbs at 9wks old.She was so tiny she could fit in one hand. She had trouble walking, could not walk a straight line, she would always fall over, hence the name Gracie.I got her because as a child I had always had dogs and cats.I was shy and not very social.I have a birth defect in my right eye,so I was teased alot.Animals never cared what I looked like. They give unconditional love. Anyway,I had lost my boyfriend a few years before, and things were just getting to the point that I was overwhelmed.I was deeply depressed.Crying at all different times of the day and night.I was in a black hole and could not see any light at the end of the tunnel. As I've gotten older, bringing myself out of the dark has gotten harder and harder.Gracie was the one who gave me hope. She kept me busy.I could concentrate on her and not myself.Gracie is my bestest buddy.I do for her before I do for myself.

I have a dog. Her name is Bella but we call her BooBoo, yeah ,, Bella Boo, Bella BooBoo then Booboo. She is half american dingo and half ibizan hound. I just think she is just 52 pounds of love. We rescue her from SPCA and it was the most amazing think we have ever done. She is part of my family. She makes my laugh ever single day. She is a little spoil little girl. she has to have a huge toy box. tons of blankets. the best food we can find different collars for different occasions. etc. She just fills our lives with sooo much love. Dogs are awesome !!!

when i was little, i would always nag my mum to get a dog because all my friends had one but i didn't. instead, she bought a dog for my brother since he wanted one. now the poor dog seems to be my mum's dog HAHA. takes a lot of responsibility and training! i am so glad he is potty trained and also doesn't chew things in the house when left alone for a long period of time. :)

I have a little baby puppy named Onyx ;) and he's a CRAZY dog!! He runs circles around the couch (sofa) and bites my friends hair and hands (but of course my friends love to play with him) but I would thank your mother little missy! ;) I have to take care of him A LOT! But thankfully he's potty trained and he's a sweety pie puppy... Although he can be a PAIN some of the time! ;)

I have three dogs, Rocki, BP and KC. Rocki and KC are rescue dogs, and BP is Rocki's puppy. But I have to say that dogs will be there for you in a way that humans can't. If one of us is sick, KC crawls up on the couch and snuggles with us. Rocki is my number one protector, and BP is the one who makes me laugh. ALL animals serve a purpose, and I wouldn't trade one of my "kids" for a handful of diamonds.

We rescued our dog from a pet shelter and he is the most appreciative one in the home. Lol lol! We are so grateful for him. Nikki brings so much love and joy into our home. He is my third son.

I have a Catahoula also. His name is Drake and is now 10 years old. They make wonderful companions. I'm glad Gracie helped you get out of that dark place and I hope you are continuing to enjoy her.
