I'm always trying to find new recipes with my own spin. Did you try something new or revamp an old favorite, what made you feel festive this year.

I know what you mean. It's a good thing I enjoy doing all the cooking and baking but I figure It'll be Valentine's day before I fully recover

just basic Chili-easy &yummy 1lb hamburger meat 2 cans tomatoes (chopped chili style is best) 2-3 cans chili beans -I use Hormel Chili Hot beans 1 package ChiliO seasoning mix Chili powder, salt, pepper Add Hamb and onions to large boiler cook on med until meat is done then drain add Chili-O mix and stir well to get a good chili flavor into the meat add 2 cans of tomatoes, stir well, if you like hot chili you could exchange 1 can tomatoes for 1 can Rotel add chili beans add chili powder, salt, pepper to taste--I usally add 2 tbl spoons additional chili powder again stir well and often so that all the flavors merge, that's how you can tell it is homemade with love, simmer on low heat as long as possible , I serve mine in bowls with soda crackers, shredded cheddar cheese and corn chips on table so that everyone can fix to taste.... you wont have to call anyone to dinner the smell will bring em running

An apple crisp is an excellent idea for this time of year, right at apple harvest time, when supposedly apple prices are coming down. Last week they were still charging 1.49 a pound for apples, outrageous at this time of year.
