Makeup that Won't Melt

Melting, sliding makeup is NOT the look we’re aiming for, clearly. But that’s often the sad result after a long day. Add in some heat, humidity or stress and the fresh face you wore when you left home winds up a shiny, clumping disaster by noontime.

Skindinavia’s finishing sprays can put an end to the makeup meltdown. Created by Allen Goldman, these sprays set your makeup to keep it looking flawless all day long. Just a few spritzes will do the trick. The secret is in the surface-cooling technology, which draws heat from the surface of your skin and prevents makeup from sliding into your pores, wrinkles or blemishes. Skindinavia’s 10 Years Younger formula works to diminish the appearance of lines and wrinkles, and it contains six moisturizers to combat dry, powdery makeup. There’s also No More Shine, which is designed to provide a matte finish and control shine on oily and combination skin.

Professional makeup artists are big fans of Skindinavia’s sprays, particularly for actors subjected to hot lights and long days. The product recently won Bride Magazine’s 2010 Beauty Award in the makeup category. But it’s not just for the pros. “It keeps your makeup on and looking fresh all day,” says Ashley Lojko, who wrote to tell us about Skindinavia. Our own Kate McLeod, who used Skindinavia at a special wedding she attended, looks terrific (shown here with her daughters).

So…on life’s daily stage, this little spritzer is the perfect supporting prop.

This product seem too be little pricey . I don't think all the make-up melt off face....I think if you know tricks and technique applying the make-up it would make a huge difference. My make doesn't melts off my face....I apply really good powder which last me all day.

Just like carolsmin said, Urban Decay All-Nighter is a wonderful make-up setting spray. It's feels like water, but works like a hairspray for your face! Try it at Sephora.

If this works it will be great! I have been tring different primers that our suppose to keep my make up from slipping, sliding, turning shiny or flaking away. They are nice products and feel good on my skin and they do help somewhat, but this sounds great. I have never heard of this. I would love to give it a try.

I like so many others try new things all the time to make my makeup make me look better. Seems I have not found anything that keeps my makeup looking fresh. I hate paying a lot for a product and then hating the results, not much works like you see in commercials.

Try MAC's FIX +. Awesome spray, really refreshing, can be used as a foundation setter, eyeshadow foiler, or even a before makeup spritz! Love it. ANd it's cheaper.

I work outdoors in 100 + weather. I don't often wear makeup because I figure I would just sweat it off. I'd like to find something that wouldn't melt right off.

Even though pricey...try Este Lauders Double Wear makeup. I have an extremely hard time finding makeup that lasts. Used to use Ultima Wonderwear, but for some reason they discontinued it. I love my Double Wear and using the makeup brush they recommend at Dillards saves a ton of waste so it really does last a long time! Go to their counter and they will even give you a free week's sample.

I, too, would like to try this product, but I'm not sure I want to pay $39 to find out that it's just a gimmick. I am fair-skinned, so I need to wear make-up daily when I go out or I looked washed out. These 90 plus degree days we've been having are murder on my make-up...even minimal make-up. It would be nice if the product really does what it says it can. I'd really hate to spend that much money, though, to find that it doesn't.

I would LOVE to try this product, the price is a bit steep for me however. On a side note I was sent the new CoverGirl -olay foundation and have found it works GREAT for my aging skin!! I was overwhelmed, I have tried all kinds of foundation, from very high end to the drugstore brands, and this Covergirl seems to be working the best of anything I have tried in recent years...It seems to keep my skin moisturized and looking good without being cakey. If someone were to send this spray out as a product to test and review I would certainly would be willing to try it!!!

I would also love to try this product. But it seems a bit steep at $39. Will the price ever go down a bit? This would really be a G-d send if it works the way it is supposed to.

I would love to try this product. My face seems to go pale after a few hours and the makeup seems to settle in the poors and I hate that! I would love something that could even extend for a few hours more the time makeup looks fresh and dewy.
