Doing a program called 75 Hard. Focussing on my mental and physical health, getting needed work done before winter, and planning on hiking and kayaking before it gets too cold.
We made one last trip to the lake and then a family bbq. My grandchildren start school today
and yesterday was a perfect day with them.
We've been watching classic movie marathons on Turner Classics. They've had a wonderful summer schedule called Summer Under the Stars and so many good movies. In fact, tonight's line up is all docudramas about doctors and nurses who found treatments and cure for various diseases, such as rabies, syphilis, polio, yellow fever, and more. I've been a medical history nerd since I was a child so I am thrilled about tonight's movie line up.
I'm spending every moment that I can at home with my kids. I love spending time with them and don't want it to end. If the virus doesn't slack off soon I won't be sending my kids to school. I just can't risk their lives with them being so close in a classroom full of kids. We stay home as much as possible.
My way of enjoying the last bit of summer is to do something special for someone twice a week. Either buy someone lunch or dinner, make time to check in on the seniors in my life and for me I get some food and get down to the harbor, sit and take in the sights.
just hanging around home saver for this senior................. this is a college town
We have been swimming daily. Its still sumer here for sure. Enjoying the mornings and evenings as its cooler!I am pretty ready for the heat of the summer to be over!
With summer coming to an end we are celebrating with birthdays good food and family!
We are enjoying the last bit of summer by bringing the children to horseback riding lessons. We also have been going to the wildlife refuge to look at the gators and walk on the trails.
Well, I am trying to make the best of it, however, I have not been doing much of anything lately. I had some injuries that prevented me from leaving my house as well as the corvid-19 virus. Thus while sheltering at home, I have been working in my yard when I could, trying to plant thing, clean up my yard and house. I maintain my sanity with playing with my 2 4 legged girls, taking walks and running with my dogs. We have had so many storms lately, too much rain. I am trying to get my house in order, will have to renovate the inside due to a lot of water damage, find a contractor, then move out for about 2 months.
This year has been so crazy, on top of Covid our house flooded and we've been displaced for 2 months now! Hopefully, we'll soon be celebrating by moving home! They said Oct 1st, but I'm hoping for a celebration sooner than that!
Eating dinner outside while we still can!
Trying new things when cooking is also fun!
Ordering to go seasonal options from local breweries!
staying close to home then senior only goes out when I have to
