If you are like many of us, you probably have shades of eyeshadow you never wear because the color just doesn’t work. Alejandra Styles puts her unused eyeshadows to work as new lipstick shades in her DIY lipstick tutorial.
And YouTuber SaraBeautyCorner offers up an incredibly unique DIY lipstick tutorial using all kinds of colorful candies like gummy worms, jelly beans, and lolly pops. Her shades of cotton candy and rainbow lipstick are something out of a story book.

For those of us most concerned about keeping it natural, but still getting great color and lip-feel out of our DIY homemade lipsticks, the Simple Life Mom blog has a great recipe that uses sweet almond oil, cocoa butter, and beeswax for the texture. Use natural ingredients like cinnamon, turmeric, and beet root powder to play around with different shades. She also adds a dash of peppermint or lavender oil for a nice fragrance.
