When my dad was deployed overseas he found out he was able to take a quick trip home for Thanksgiving. He flew 23 hours just to be with us for one day, and then flew 23 hours back. He now lives across the country and if I ever need him, he doesn’t hesitate to drop everything and hop on a plane. - Melissa
My grandfather helped me buy my first car when I was 17 and always changed my oil and helped maintain the car for me. I liked spending that time with him and to a 17-year-old with her first car, it meant a lot to me! - Stephanie
My husband, Drew, has been drawing some cartoons of my daughter Franny occasionally - and posts them on the Instagram page he created for her called frannypancakes. She loves seeing the drawings of herself and it's really sweet for me to remember some of our funny moments with her. - Emily

My husband was there for my son for fun times and to help when he acted up some as he got older too. I'm proud of both of them. My father I would see on vacations with fun times, and it's good to let loose sometimes after a busy day.
My husband & I always put up a united front with the kids & keep our disagreements to ourselves. When our daughter was born 40 yrs ago, I asked her dad to keep me from making her a prissy girl. Mission accomplished!
Always being Daddy's girl even at the age of 30.
Well, I wouldn't have my two terrific kiddos without him, so that right there is pretty dang fantastic!
My dad abandoned us when my sister and I were just little kids. After years of abuse against our mother it was honestly a relief. Here I want to honor a father figure in my life who was always there for me when my biological father wasnt....my uncle! It takes a great man to step up and take care of two other kids when you already have 3 of your own and not make a difference between them. Being a father means much more than being biologically related....my uncle is everything a proper dad should be and this fathers day I want to tell him to thank you! He took care of us and helped us financially when we needed it...today he loves my husband as his son in law and calls him more than he calls me sometimes. He is an example for fathers out there....good job!
My dad would always give me words of wisdom which came in handy over the years. But one I will never forget was to be sure you wear clean underwear in case your ever in an accident.
possibly the worst father out of my entire school
My dad having the patience to teach me to drive.
The more lovely thing my Dad did for me was to teach me how to ride a bike.
My dad made me the woman I am today and it's because of his love, kind words and faith in me that i am her. Most importantly the love that he showed me gave me a standard that I have held men to through the years. Until I found my husband years ago. Now I am in a loving happy marriage that is strong (even through bumps in the road) and that's the greatest gift my dad gave me. Thanks dad for being the best and teaching me to not expect less in my relationships
My husband adopted my daughter and raised her as his own.
My Daddy is a true hero. I watched this man take care of my mom through all of the stages of Alzheimer's, from the beginning to the end. He made sure my Momma did not go in a nursing home. When I was growing up he made sure to take time to take me to the park and to ball games. He touched so many lives. For what he did with my mom, he is MY hero!!!
My dad is always there when I need him. From answering my phone calls about red beans or sweet potato pie recipes or just listening as I vent about my troubles. And he's AMAZING with my children. They absolutely adore him!
My dad is always there and is so supportive!
Both my Dads have taught me to be self sufficient and able to do things for myself. I have gotten tool kits from them both and can use all the tools in the kit. I love that I can fend for myself and not have to wait on someone to show up to fix the small things.
