At SheSpeaks, we've been inspired by so many women, both those we know personally and those we've never met. Here are just a few of them:
The woman who has positively influenced me is my mom, Ying Lo. She has taught me to never doubt my intuition and to go for what I love to do. She is the reason I am 100% my unapologetic self and strive to do more with my life. - Gaonou
Aside from being an amazing author, J.K. Rowling (Harry Potter) faced a lot of rejection and persevered to see her vision come to life. She gives back generously, speaks her mind and holds true to her beliefs. - Stephanie
She was an amazing woman who grew up in a time with gender role expectations, yet went on to receive her Master's and start various organizations, including women’s organizations. She was incredibly wise and always gave the best advice. - Melissa
When my oldest son was born, I met a group of amazing new moms. We started going out to dinner once a month and we haven't stopped for more than twelve years. These women have inspired me to be a better mom and a stronger person. They also taught me how important it is to support other women - and find women who support you. - Susan
Serena Williams is more than just an incredible tennis player. She also uses her platform for good and has become a great role model for all, but especially girls, sisters and now moms. Her passion for excellence is inspring. I love her new Nike video that says it all. - Carol

Any strong woman I read about inspires me.
My mom inspires me for her strength and ability to push through hardships!
My mom and my sister inspire me daily. Sadly, my mom passed away in 2014 but she inspires me daily to achieve my dreams and reach for the stars. My sister, who has been dealt a tragedy in life, inspires me daily. She encourages me, supports me and loves unconditionally.
My mom was and still is my biggest inspiration. She endured so much with a smile, showed me the meaning of unconditional love, I still strive to make her proud.
My friend Cori inspires me. She was diagnosed with breast cancer, but it had already metastasized all over by the time they had found it so the prognosis was bleak. But she faced it with grace and dignity and claimed Hope as the word God had given her to live by. A few months later she was clear and ready to get her strength back. A year later, the doctors found cancer in a number of tumors on her head and again it didn't look good. But she knew to place her trust in God and follow His plan and a few months later she's been cleared again, no sign of cancer anywhere. To God be the glory!
My mom because she has overcome a lot in her life and she never backed down when others would have.
My grandma was the strongest person I have ever known. She taught me how to be gracious, independent, and how to be brave in the worst situations. She is now my angel but has forever inspired me.
My mom was such a huge influence to me. Even now, 7 years after her passing, I still find things that she said or did that teach me now even though they were told to me years ago. Such a rich source of wisdom!
My mom has always been my biggest inspiration. She was smart and hard working. She always told us we could do anything as long as we were willing to work hard.
My grandmother has greatly influenced me .
My amazing mom
My mother ~ She has inspired me to be me. Inspired me to be the best mom I can be to my daughter. Inspired me to reach for my goals and to never stop ! Inspired me to love and not hate ! inspired me to help others, be kind, have respect and don't eat chocolate when you have a full belly it wont help it will just make you fuller lol ( when I was little i would be full from dinner and say my tummy hurts mom would say oh chocolate would cure that lol and i believed her )
My grandmother has inspired me because she is Strong, loving and hard working.
Mrs. Michele Obama has inspired me. I recently went to see her speak and I also read her book. I believe that she is down to earth, very caring, very intelligent, well-rounded, professional and above all grounded. She is hopeful and engaged. I admire those qualities and her story inspires me.
My great grandmother has inspired me by teaching me how to carry myself as a woman and she also taught me how to cook great meals.
