A lot of women say their moms are their hero. Well that is true for me, too. She was kind, God-loving, and smart. She remains my role model even though she is gone. I try to live her teachings everyday, and I try to mention them to my 2 girls every chance I get. Love and miss you so much, mom !

My grandmother, Jassodra Kumar. She is close to 70 years old and you will find her in a kickboxing class, doing yoga or getting a manicure. She has great energy and lives life to the fullest. Age is just a number for her and I hope to be just like her in my golden years.

My aunt is an amazing person. She has always inspired and encouraged me and was a buffer against the negative in my childhood & teen years.

My mother has most inspired me. She was a stay at home parent till I was 4 and my father left. My proud mother had to BEG for a job. She worked her way up from a desk clerk to a manager of an office! Despite not having a lot of money, she always made sure we had food on the table and clothes on our backs. She went over 10 years with the same clothes, sewing them up so she could make sure my brother and I had shoes. She wasn't perfect but she was/is an amazing woman who showed me what loving and caring and family is all about!

My mother is my hero! She was always there for me as a kid, and supported me in all i wanted to try. She now has Lewy body Dementia, and has fought a hard fight. it is so hard to see my mother as a shell of the woman she used to be. But I still love her, no matter what

My great-grandmother, who walked along a train line with her children and a friend's child - to bring them all to America. I owe her everything. (And as far as the people who are anti-immgrant and say that at least their ancestors came in legally - really? My Greatgram had no papers and could not read or write - the same as so many at that time.)

My mom is my hero. I aspire to be just like her, and from what people tell me, I'm doing a good job of it! She is/was the best mom, wife and homemaker. She balanced everything and was very organized and on top of everything she has/had to do!
