Making a list to make sure you get all you need when it's on sale! #BestofBacktoSchool
Calendars :)
I have the kids lay out their clothes, backpacks and such the night before - so they can wake up get dressed and get going!
Having dinner menus planned a week to a month in advance takes the stress off that time of day!
We make adjusting to a back to school schedule easier by laying out all the outfits for the entire week. It helps tremendously in getting everyone ready quickly in the mornings!
Every year i try to make so.ething different to make back to school be smooth for my 13 year old. This year on the first days of school i have prepared a first day of school survivor kit. This includes her favorite accessories ( hair pins, lip gloss, hand cream,etc...) Favorite snack, and an encouragement quote to make sure she has something positive to think about. Of course I cannot forget to put in all her school supplies.
Stick to the supplies list. Don't get many items that are not on your child's list because odds are they can't use it if not stated so
A tip for making back-to-school season go smoothly is to have children prepare for school with you. I buy school supplies early, and I take the children with me when the list comes out. I save money by buying throughout the school year so I feel less twinges when the kids ask for that $10 binder. We pack early and start our sleep schedule for school the week prior.
I remember loving the purple glue when I was a kid. The brilliant lunch box looks perfect to keep up that healthy back to school life.
Have all their supplies all in their backpacks ready to go, backpacks by the front door, shoes by the backpack. The night before pack lunches and have it all prepared for the morning. This way when morning comes everything is ready and you're not searching for things.
I take them with me when I register the boys for school so they no ahead of time where their class rooms are. Pick out clothes to wear for the week base on the weather. We normally start collecting the basics 1 month before school list comes out. Then teachers list of things she needs for the school year.
Love sharpies! Get the school supply shopping done early! Stock up on the steals like crayons for 50 cents! They are great all year!
My tip is to shop early because if you wait the aisles are normally a mess and the stores may be out of what you need.
My son has a processing disorder so every year I color code his binders, notebooks etc so he will have an easier time when choosing which things go with which class. Once I've done this I feel a bit less anxiety and I hope he feels the same!
