It's finally starting to feel like Spring. Temperatures are rising. Flowers are blooming. And fun new trends are arriving.
Here's what you need to know about right now... everything from a sweet treat showcased at Coachella to a better way to make slime with your kids. Plus, enter our giveaway to win several of the items on the #SheSpeaksMusts List.
It's all the rage at Coachella and it's certain to come to a party near you. Get inspired by Sweet Combforts and make your own. Put a stick into a Belgian waffle and then drizzle on your favorite toppings, such as chocolate, sprinkles, candy, fruit or cookie crumbs. Delicious!
In Oprah Winfrey's first major film role in years, she stars in a fascinating HBO movie about a woman in Baltimore whose cells have been used as a vital component in the fight against diseases like cancer and AIDS, though she, or her family, were never told. The movie debuts on Saturday, April 22 at 8pm. We can't wait to watch.
Unicorns have inspired everything from toast to beauty. You can now get unicorn-themed make-up brushes, bath bombs, and nail polish. Our favorite is from Nail Inc., called: Sparkle Like a Unicorn Nail Polish Duo which is shimmery and festive. It immediately sold out on its website but is now available on Sephora.com (or in our giveaway below!)
We love planting flowers and vegetables outside this time of year. It adds color to our yard and we look forward to the fresh tomatoes we'll get to eat in August. But gardening can be a lot of work and not everyone has the space for it. Which is why we are excited about this new trend: mini-plants. Succulents are our favorite because they are cute, easy to care for and not expensive. We'll be buying several this season - they make the perfect presents for Mother's Day, as well as teacher or host gifts!
Slime has spread across the country's elementary and middle schools this year. The gooey fun is an easy DIY project for kids of all ages. Check out this SheSpeaksTV video in which SheSpeaks member Keri Lumm does a Pinterest test on making glitter slime that is safer for your kids, as long as they don't eat it. Or drop it on the couch.
