Fantastic! I love her perspective on making sure that our children know that we all pitch in to make the family work. She is thoughtful and objective. I would adore this book.

I talk to my kids all the time about finances. I set a maximum that I will spend on items they want and they have to pay the rest if they want it. It makes them really think about what is important to them. We donate and volunteer at the local food bank to give my kids a view into what others lives are like.

I believe that teaching children to save for a rainy day is a parent's responsibility! One that I don't take lightly. All my kids have their own bank accounts and have had them since infancy. My kids know to put money in 3 envelopes..One to save (I put that into their bank accounts), one to put for a short term goal (such as a toy they want) and one to put for charity. My kids were always raised to help others less fortunate and it's a trait that they take seriously and do each year. I'm proud of the kids my children are becoming!

I'm currently in the process of teaching my older child the value and the importance of money. It's a slow-going process as of now because she's still quite young, but I love hearing her tell me everything she's learned (and retained!) so far. I may have to pick this book up for some extra tips and hints, it looks like a fantastic resource that we can all learn from :)

I teach my four year old the importance of a allowance and savings. He have his own bank account and I let him go to the bank with me to hand the teller the money. We are saving to go towards his college education.

I definitely had the "Money Talk" with each of my older children (14, 11, &8) multiple times. It's so important to revisit the "Money Talk" at different developmental age appropriate levels with your children to help them truly be more money conscious.

Of course! I teach them to save their money and they have a savings account. Teaching them early will be beneficial as they grow and learn that money doesn't grow on trees. LOL

https://twitter.com/rkosully/status/836714614662496256 @rkosully I tweeted! We talk about money quite often, mainly about saving money. However, we ought to talk more about investing and compound interest and other high-level money issues.

We've had some money talks with our kids. They get an allowance for some chores that they do, and we talk about saving vs. spending. We will get more specific as they get older (the oldest is 7 right now).
