I was a die hard Bernie Sanders supporter until the DNC collided to disclose him. I immediately left the Democratic party which I joined in'83 at 18 and stayed with until 51! I am loud and proud about whom I vote for. I am against war, I believe Citizen's United forever changed my country and if passed, the TPP will destroy what's left. I am a pacifist so my vote is for Jill Stein. I think it's important to have a planet to live on. I use social media and have lost "friends" over my views but I have gained some awesome new ones. I trust Twitter and Julian Assange more than I trust MSM. The, Shaun King, I have been blown away by my family/friends who are loyal to Trump and Clinton. We know Clinton is Pro- war! No.... I am seriously sickened by my country. I have voted in every election and do a lot of research.

WE have compared the 2 main candididates and decided to follow Richard Pryors advice and vote for none of the above.

I speak about the election to friends and family in person. We mostly talk about the good & the bad of both parties. I never discuss any politics on social media. I respect anyone's wishes on how they vote. We all make good points on the discussion. I trust older, more wiser people who have been alive longer to remember the good & the bad points and things that happened in the past. They make very good sense to me in reminding me of what happened when certain people were in office.

How much do you discuss the upcoming Presidential election with friends and/or family, IN PERSON? In what way? I don't really discuss it much, unless I know that the person I'm talking to has the same views. I hate arguing about it. How much do you discuss the upcoming Presidential election with friends and/or family, ON SOCIAL MEDIA? In what way? I post things occasionally from the candidate I like, but other than that, I stay away from it. Do you tell friends and family who you are voting for? How do you feel when a friend or family member tells you they are voting for a different candidate? What have you said or done? Yes, my friends and family know who I am voting for. I don't really do or say anything about their candidate, they know how I feel already. Where are you getting your information about the election? What sources do you trust the most? I get my information from the candidate I like. I don't really trust any of the news media outlets at all.

We've mostly said, and heard other people say that we wished we had more choices.

I'm an election judge and it's going to be one of the busiest elections ever! The primary election in Illinois had a higher percentage of voter turnout than I ever remember for an election during my lifetime! The country is truly divided and it's going to get very interesting...I prefer not to talk about specifics.

This season, my family and friends are talking about nothing but Trump. How bad he is, what shocking revelation he's had recently (I admit that the birthplace of Obama accusation is still hilarious), and so on. For the first time, I'm just not going to vote. None of the candidates are even remotely credible, and Hillary is borderline disabled (take it that she's going the route of FDR!). It's hard to talk about politics when there's nothing really good to say about any of it these days.

I listen to NPR almost every day, read the NYT online, BBC, etc. I also really like fact checking websites (I wish everyone did!). As far as I know, the conservative people in my family are either not voting at all, or too embarrassed by Trump's behavior to admit that they'd vote for him. My friends are all very tolerant, anti-racist, and progressive, so there's no one among us who is voting for Trump. My friends and husband and I talk about politics online and in person all the time. I have no problem saying I'm voting for Hillary Clinton.

I have been talking about how we each are entitled to vote for whom we best see fit. I've seen so many arguments & so many people pushing their own beliefs and agenda's on each other-worse, people unfriending each other over this election. Honestly, it's sad because we are adults, we are American & and we should be respectful.

I'm totally ignoring the election this year. I wouldn't vote for any candidate.

Talking about how this country really needs major changes fast. Obamacare needs to go away because it is costing the jobs of healthcare workers. I already lost my job and we fear my husband is next. People cannot afford to actually use their health insurance because paying for it is putting them in debt. Can only hope Trump wins this election and can make the promised changes to immigration, racism, infrastructure, healthcare, etc.

Mostly talk in person, some online with those not nearby. If someones tells me they are voting different from me I ask why to see what they will say, it could be informative. Get info from new, social media, tv, radio, newpapers many sources so I can see various sides and issues.

I do talk to friends and family about the election and sometimes have to change the subject because of how different our views are. This is almost always in person. I rarely engage in talk of the election of social media. Too many ways to misconstrue words.

This is a touchy subject in my household and extended family. We've had a few discussions get quite heated and have to stop bringing up politics now.
