This was at my own wedding back in 2005, we aren't married anymore but anyways. This was at the reception and we both agreed we would not smear cake in each other's faces cause we didn't want to ruin our wedding outfits. Then my dad took him aside and said I will pay you 5 dollars to smear cake in her face and he gladly took the bet. He smeared cake in face. It went all over on my hair and dress. I was so mad but ended up laughing cause at the end I got ice cream out of that money. Till this day I still find funny. My mom even took a picture of me covered in cake.

#WeddingMishaps I went my cousins wedding a little while ago that had an outdoor reception and there were mosquitoes EVERYWHERE. Seriously, we all got eaten alive. I had to leave early because I'm allergic I had welts all over my body. This is why my reception will be indoors when I get marrided.

For our wedding my husband & all but one groomsmen ran out of gas in the way to the ceremony. Paid for the gas never pumped it. When he finally gets there one of the buttons on his shirt flies off. There had been a mix up & his suit was given to the wrong groom. Luckily my mother had blue thread. Stuck out like a sore thumb. Church musician played the song my uncle was buried to just before I walked down the aisle. My entire side & wedding party were bawling bc he passed suddenly a few years before. Husband was still so drunk from the night before he almost fell on me at the alter. After that wedding 1 of the groomsmen had to drag my mother in law to the car & drive her home. She was plastered! As for the groomsmen 1 almost got a divorce the next day. 1 got in an accident accident after he was driven home & walked to the door. 1 ended up in jail (details are still hazy 5yrs later). 5yrs later we're still kicking!

We had a fairy tale theme at our wedding. While we were sitting at the bridal party table, waiting to eat at the reception, my mom came walking out with a treasure box and a crown. She crowned my new husband as prince and handed him the treasure box filled with plastic jewels and coins as my dowry. He had no idea this was going to happen...but I did. It was a great surprise and he wore his crown for the entire reception!

Me and my maid of honor, was doing last minute shopping on day of wedding, we were 40 miles from the church, when we ran outta gas.......lol......by the time we were able to get ahold of anyone,( this was in 1988, before we all started carrying cell phones) everyone was already at church preparing for the wedding........and the church was a small rural church, that didn't have a phone. So we called a cab, took a $50 (which was a lot for 1988) cab ride to church and was only about an hour late for the wedding! Of course once we arrived at the church we still had to get ready! My groom (hubby) was really sweating that day, he had begun to think I was bailing out of the wedding! Lucky for me, everyone of our guests and wedding party had stayed around and not left the church! What a day!!!

at my sisters wedding which was outdoors last June it was a beautiful day and then evening came and it started sprinkling well before we knew it it was down pouring so we all stayed under the tented area dancing away until the wooden dance floor sunk into a sink hole mud pit

My phone rang as I pulled up to a friend's wedding event. It was our local radio station and I won a pair of tickets to a rock concert coming to St. Paul, Minnesota! Needless to say, I was a little late in arriving as I sat in my car & gave the promoter my contact information. (That was the highlight of the day!)

Nothing too out of the ordinary happened at our wedding but on our honeymoon night there were Tornados all around the town we were staying in. Made for an even crazier night!

It was my wedding. All of us girls was in my car on our way to the wedding. All of sudden my Mom starts blowing her horn she left the marriage license in her bedroom. Since, I was the last one to enter the church. Everyone loads in her car and heads to the Garden Center where I'm to be married. I only had enough gas to make it to my wedding. I go home and get the marriage license. Crank up the car and it won't start. Everyone who could help me is at my wedding. I say many prayers and then the car starts up and I'm late but makes it there. My hubby is pacing out in front I guess he thought I had left him at the alter. We get married and 35 years later still happy and thankful. I love to win. Thanks for the chance.

There were lots of little mishaps at our wedding. First, our flower girl had an ear infection and refused to throw the rose petals down as she walked down the aisle because she didn't want them on the ground. Then, the young man holding my train was very camera shy and proceeded to hide beneath my train the whole way. My father-in-law recorded a video of our special day, but was very unfamiliar with the camera he was using. Of the approximately 15 minute video we received (yes, that was all), several minutes are where he set the camera down facing the back of a chair and about halfway through the message "Happy Birthday" pops up at the bottom of the screen until the end. There were lots of other little mishaps too, but they're probably some of our favorite memories from that day.

My hubby and I were married back on April 12, 2003. We really didn't know what we were doing as far as how to plan a wedding, just winged everything. So when it came time to cut the cake, we had a blast, the cake was beautiful, and was fun...until we realized we had no cake plates, napkins, or forks. So we just stood there awkwardly as someone nice went down to the closest party store and picked those items up. Now whenever someone is getting married and they ask for advice, that is what I tell them...don't forget cake plates LOL!
