Did you know that one in four women will experience physical violence by an intimate partner within their lifetime? You can help support victims and survivors of domestic violence this October. HopeLine® from Verizon is asking you to go purple in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Visit any Verizon store or click here to purchase exclusive purple accessories, like a headset, phone or tablet case, and HopeLine will donate $1, up to $100,000, to the National Domestic Violence Hotline for every accessory purchased.

Do you have an old cell phone you aren’t using?  Get rid of your clutter and help the cause!  Simply drop off your wireless phones, chargers and accessories, from any carrier, at a Verizon store and help support victims and survivors of domestic violence.  The phones and accessories donated to HopeLine are turned into financial support for domestic violence awareness and prevention initiatives. Help HopeLine reach its goal of 1 million phone donations by the end of 2015!

    Domestic violence awareness is so important and as a survivor, I commend Verizon for years of advocacy they have done. Educating people about DV, and providing programs and support for people impacted by it is crucial. It takes funding, and caring hands on deck to maintain continued DV awareness and prevention programming in place in communities across America. Please donate to the cause and be a beacon of support for survivors in your community. Never did I believe that my story would some day help and inspire others, but it did and I am forever grateful to those who helped me along my journey.

    Many people don't understand the tremendously often-unimaginable mental dynamics that goes on in the heads of domestically abused women. They don't have to have a sturdy reason for staying...many try to attribute whatever makes sense to them. But thankfully others on the outside care!!! Thank you...
