If you could help build a better community with just one change, what would you do? Knowing that not everyone has money to support the many causes they care about, Tom’s of Maine has created the 50 States for Good program!

As part of this year’s campaign, they’re inviting anyone to share their #OneWayToHelp their community for a chance to select a local nonprofit to receive funding. This year, Tom’s of Maine is awarding more funding than ever – more than $1 million in total – with $20,000 going to a nonprofit organization in every state and Washington D.C.!

I would like to help motivate young people to be active and encourage them to form good study and reading habits which would include talking about purchasing products in green packages so that they know small changes do count.

I would help with a better, free, recycling system. In my area there are a lot of elderly people who would love to be able to recycle but can't afford to pay the high cost we're charged for it. I think it should be part of our regular garbage collection but it's not.

I would offer pet sitting for those who are staying in a homeless or domestic violence shelter or for those who need a hospitalization for mental health reasons. Many clients put off getting the care that the need because they don't have anyone to help with their pet.
