I'm a stay-at-home mom so I can spend as much time as possible with my 16-month-old. I give her as much independence to explore the world as I can. We read together. I give her lots of hugs and kisses. She always comes first.

If I use the 'NO, or Stop that' I get an unpleasant reaction, but if I try talking, showing patience, & being creative in how I discipline. It usually ends happier with more understanding, No tears or not knowing exactly why they got in trouble. After all, we're not being mean. We're trying to keep them safe. I have 4 grand babies under 3 yrs. I try being 'Creative' in how I discipline. & It's amazing how much they understand. #BetterforBaby
