At the top of just about everyone's Love Songs list is a ballad written in 1973 about the break-up of a business relationship, not a romantic one. Its relatively unknown composer was lambasted by just about everyone in the industry for refusing the opportunity of having Elvis Presley record it, for 50% of the publishing rights, because it "just didn't feel right."
Turns out it was the best business decision that composer ever made, earning millions and millions of dollars through the years as the song went #1 twice on the Billlboard charts before Kevin Costner became enchanted with Linda Ronstadt's cover of it and then brought it to David Foster's attention for his upcoming movie.
That movie is, of course "The Bodyguard" - the largest-selling movie soundtrack of all time, and the song is Dolly Parton's "I Will Always Love You" performed by the incomparable Whitney Houston. In its 3rd release the simple country tune turned R&B powerhouse went #1 again and stayed there for 14 weeks. Although standards for counting record sales have changed in the digital age, many experts regard "I Will Always Love You" as the best selling love song of all time. Here is the full version for you to enjoy.

Unchained Melody by Bobbie Hatfield and I'll Always Love You by Whitney Houston. Those two songs are so touching and emotional. They have been played over and over but never lose their impact Also have been used in movies that thousands of people have seen, so when you hear that song, you think of their love story and relate it to your own or your desire for a love like theirs. A love that would surpass the ends of the world and stretch from heaven to earth and would keep you safe. Thays what these songs should do. The best ones stir up the most emotion in you, or leave the most lasting memories.
Find 100 Ways by James Ingram. I believe every woman needs to hear those words from the one they love. This song has my pick for one of the best love songs Eveeeeeer!
Lady in Red by Chris De Burghs my favorite love song.....I danced to it at my wedding and 22 years later I still love that song.
I will always love you, Whitney's version, inThe Bodyguard.
"I Will Be Here" by Steven Curtis Chapman. We chose this as our First Dance song- not many people know it but the lyrics are ridiculously romantic!
Arms of a Woman - Amos Lee
"It Must Have Been Love" - Roxette Years have gone by....but this song will always pull at my tiny heart strings
I'll give all my love to you- Keith Sweat

At Last by Etta James not Beyonce. No one sings the song like Etta. It was hard to pick between unchained melody or at last, since they are both classics. I found my love "At Last", which has a meaning for me.
