Her Serene Highness, Grace of Monaco | Mary Queen of Scots | Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge |
designed by Helen Rose | designed by Monique Lhuillier | designed by Sarah Burton |
The first trend on our list, Long Lace Sleeves, may be inspired by 3 Royal Brides, namely Grace Kelly (whose fashions will soon be appearing on the big screen in the biopic Grace of Monaco with Nicole Kidman in the title role), Mary Queen of Scots (whose costuming has been burning up the tv screen in the CW's REIGN, and the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton. |
Ersa Atelier | Winnie Couture | Monique Lhuillier |
The next trend is The Blushing Bride as all manner of 'think pink' dresses continue in popularity - every shade from fuchsia to peony to powder is available as evidenced by celebrity brides Jessica Biel, Reese Witherspoon, and Kaley Cuoco. |
Vera Wang | Monique Lhuillier | Oscar de la Renta |
The last trend is Sculptural Fabrics and shapes, with the return of duchesse satin that creates a tailored look in contrast to the Boho, unstructured feeling of recent years. |
Pronovias | Rosa Clara | Theia |

Mary Queen of Scots
I love the Oscar De La Renta Dress. Makes me think of my mother's wedding dress. She was married in 1959, and she was married over 50 years when she passed away in 2009. I think I am going to get married soon and I only wish I was small enough to fit my mothers dress which I have kept. My mother was a really small woman. She was a size 5 and I believe at my smallest I have been a size 12. I unfortunately take after my father who was very tall and large boned.
I like the Vera Wang gowns because they are really pretty and elegant.
I love wedding dresses with a fitted bodice with spaghetti straps and a beautiful flowing gown (just no train).
A classic sleek and simple look for me!
i love the sculptural fabrics!
I like traditional gowns with full skirts.
sleek and simple. the audrey hepburn look.
Sleek & Simple definitely!
I like a simple A line dress not too frilly but elegant.
I prefer the Rosa Clara gown...simple and elegant (Sculptural)
I do love lace and pearls. Such a pretty combination. And while I wouldn't be comfortable in a ball gown, they are so pretty too.
I like the princess ball gown with the wide bell bottom and tight bodice
I really like most wedding gowns designed by Vera Wang. I do love the classic A-line gowns best.
I like an A-line with cap sleeves a bit of lace.
