Life is better with M&M`s because of one word ..... "Chocolate"!!!

I was with my best friend the day she found out that, at 31, she had late-stage pancreatic cancer. We sat stunned outside the hospital after the news broke. At a total loss for the right thing to do or say, I dove into my purse for a hail Mary pack of tissues-anything to give her comfort. Infinitely unprepared, I could only produce a forgotten pack of Pretzel M&Ms, so I ripped it open and showered her free hand--and front seat--with candy. "THAT'S ALL I HAVE, I'M SO SORRY!" I know I yelled, so ashamed at myself. But she just started laughing her beautiful laugh and munched on the M&Ms and for a few minutes, the awful new weight in her life was at bay. "God, these are exactly what I needed" she said as we set off. The blue packaging and familiar crunch will always remind me of that little moment with her and that's why my life is better with M&Ms.
